With Biogen Idec Inc. (NASDAQ:BIIB) making its $14.50 per share, or $347 million, bid for Facet Biotech Corp. (NASDAQ:FACT) public, the string of oncology deals we’ve been tracking is getting longer. Biogen proposed buying Facet, which develops oncology therapeutic,.for $15 per share on Aug. 20 but the bid was rejected. Biogen decided to lower its offer and make it public after Facet announced a collaboration with Trubion Pharmaceuticals Inc.
